Q: How can i backup my current configuration?
A: All configuration data are located in your windows directory ,1 file for your configuration and 1 file for all your icon data , just backup these 2 files:
<windows directory>\pbappcfg.dat
<windows directory>\pbappico.dat
If you need to restore your configuration , just exit PowerBar and restore these 2 files to your windows directory , and restart PowerBar.

Q: Is there a way to move a application running in a Virtual Desktop to another VD?
A: Just right click on the Virtual Desktop icon on PowerBar , and follow the popup menu.

Q: When i change a desktop icon in one Virtual Desktop it change in all Virtual Desktop's.
A: PowerBar do not support switching the desktop icons , it will allow you to switch wallpaper - color - running applications and icons group , to make PowerBar switch icon group just goto the setup dialog -> 'Icon groups' and check 'Icon groups follow Virtual Desktops.' , the icon group on PowerBar will now switch when you change Virtual Desktop , this allows you to have different icons on each Virtual Desktop.

Q: Every time i check for new mail , PowerBar disconnect me.
A: If you did not make the connection with PowerBar then this will happen , to avoid this simple left click on the internet and mail icon on PowerBar so it turn green , when it is green you can check for new mail without being disconnected.

Q: When i startup my computer ,my machine gets dead while PowerBar launches and it takes along time to startup.
A: This could happen if you have Drag/Dropped links to programs located on a removable media like a CD-ROM or a network drive , if the link are located on a network drive PowerBar would have to reconnect you to the network drive before it can get the icon data , or if the link are located on a CD-ROM drive and you don't have that CD-ROM in your drive , it could take some time to startup the CD-ROM and check for the icon data. To avoid this you could make shortcuts to the programs located on the removable media and Drag/Drop the shortcut to PowerBar , PowerBar would when get the icon data from the shortcut and not from the removable media.

Q: What will happen after i make a email registration?
A: After you fill out the order form and press the final 'Accept' button , you will receive a email to confirm that we have received your order, normally we will then email you the full registered version and your registration number within 12 hours, sometimes it takes upto 24 hours. When you get the email all you have to do is install the attached file and you are running with the full registered version.

Q: What will happen after i make a download registration?.
A: After you fill out the order form and press the final 'Accept' button , you get to a web page where you are able to download the full registered version. We will send you a email to confirm your order and with download instructions if your first download should fail. Normally after 12 hours you should receive another email with your registration number. The version you download are fully functional without the registration number.

Q: I have received my registration and registration number , but i cannot find a way to register. Every time i boot up, I get a message that says i must register my PowerBar?
A: You are still running with the shareware version , you should install the full registered version , this version was attached as a file attachment in the email you got with your registration number. Just run the attached file and follow the on-screen instructions. There are no need to enter any registration numbers anywhere , this has already been done in the registered version you received , when you install the registered version your current configuration will not be lost!

Q: What are the registration number used for?.
A: You will need your registration number when you want us to change your email address , or if you request a new copy because your hard disk crashed, sometimes you should use it to log in to some part of our web site. So keep it in a safe place.
